Recover media you posted with your X archive
An account archive can help you find videos you attached to your own posts. It is a broader personal export, so handle it more carefully than a single public clip.

Identify the clip behind the post
Before saving a video associated with a post, establish what the post actually contains. It may be your own recording, several attachments, a quoted discussion or a link to a video on another website. Note the author and the specific attachment you need, especially when different clips show different parts of an event. If you made the recording, match it to the original file on your device. If someone else supplied it, ask for a permitted copy with a clear description. A recognizable preview alone is not enough to distinguish the final edit from a shorter excerpt.
Treat Twitter, X and shortened links consistently
InstaxVideo recognizes twitter.com, x.com and t.co sources, but its current release does not extract Twitter/X media. An old Twitter URL and a newer X URL are both post-page sources for this purpose. A shortened address is not a direct file merely because it redirects somewhere else. If a post links to an external article, that article may also be a page rather than the underlying video. Identify the actual source before using the downloader. Protected posts and account-only content remain outside the supported flow, and the site does not accept credentials to open them.
Keep provenance with a saved recording
For an interview, demonstration or announcement, record a few details beside the file: who supplied it, what it shows, the source post if relevant and the date of the recording when known. Distinguish a recording date from a publication date instead of assuming they are the same. This small note helps when you revisit a clip months later or hand it to a colleague. If a sequence was edited or shortened, label that version clearly. These are practical archive habits, not an automated verification service; InstaxVideo does not establish a video's origin or authenticate the claims made in a post.
Recover your own media with an account archive
X documents an account archive that can include attached media as well as other account information. If you need an old recording you published, request and inspect that archive within your own X account. Treat the complete archive as personal data rather than a public video folder. Extract only the asset you intended to keep and inspect it locally before sharing it further. Do not paste archive download links, account passwords or private messages into the form here. Your local originals are still useful for comparing versions and determining whether a recovered clip matches the copy you originally produced.
Check attachments, sound and completeness
When several clips cover the same event, assign each a filename that identifies its content or sequence. Play enough of every saved file to confirm that it is the intended attachment, includes the ending and contains the expected sound. A looping preview does not tell you whether the original asset was an animation or a longer recording. InstaxVideo does not select attachments from posts, convert animated items, extract soundtracks or combine clips into a single file. Keep any separate transcript or notes with your own project because downloading a supported video does not gather the surrounding post text.
Use a completed direct file for the working download
For a supported transfer on this page, use a permitted, completed media file at an approved HTTPS host. Currently, instaxvideo.com is the approved host; arbitrary external hosts are not enabled. Try the original sample to see the actual file result and save process. During a download, wait for the transfer to finish and then check your browser's Downloads list or selected folder. Open the copy before renaming it for your archive, preserving the original extension. If you need a new source reviewed, contact the operator with its public domain and never provide private-account access.
Have an approved original file instead?
The working downloader accepts approved direct HTTPS media links. Confirm permission, check the actual file, then select Download. A direct video URL offers its original format; audio appears only when the source is an actual supported audio file. Only the formats actually supplied by a supported source are offered for download.

Can I download an X video from its post URL here?
Twitter/X extraction is currently unavailable. The form identifies those links and explains the limitation. To keep media you created, use your retained original or the account's authorized export options; an approved direct file can be checked on this page.
Does replacing x.com with twitter.com make it work?
No. Both domains are recognized platform sources with the same download limitation. Changing their spelling or using a t.co redirect does not create a direct media file or change the service's approved-host rules.
Can I choose one attachment from a post with several videos?
Not through a post link. InstaxVideo does not enumerate Twitter/X attachments. Identify the specific original file first, and keep its sequence or subject in the filename so it remains distinguishable from other clips associated with the post.
Should I upload my full X archive to this website?
No. The archive may contain personal account information as well as media. Request it through X, inspect it locally and keep it private. The downloader accepts a permitted direct media URL, not an account archive or its authenticated download link.
Does downloading a clip verify the story in its caption?
No. Saving a file does not authenticate its origin, date or claims. Keep source notes and evaluate the content independently when context matters. InstaxVideo transfers supported files and does not perform fact-checking or establish the identity of a recording's creator.
Can I turn a post's animation or audio into an MP4 or MP3?
