Your browser receives the completed file and normally saves it in your computer’s Downloads folder. If “Ask where to save” is enabled, you choose the location. The website cannot override that setting. Keep this page open until the transfer finishes.
InstaxVideo downloads and prepares media files from approved direct HTTPS sources. You must own the media or have permission to save it. YouTube, Instagram, Facebook, TikTok, X and Pinterest downloads are currently unavailable. Private, login-only and DRM-protected content is unsupported.
After checking an approved file, InstaxVideo prepares MP4 options up to the source resolution: 1080p, 720p or 480p when supported. It never enlarges a smaller source. MP3 at 128 kbps is available when the source contains audio. The original remains available, and every ready option shows its actual file size. Preparation limits and source compatibility can restrict the choices.
New downloads in Android version 1.2.0 are saved to the phone’s public Downloads folder, where a file manager can find them. You can also open or share completed files from the app’s Downloads screen.
No InstaxVideo account is needed. Paste an approved link, confirm that you have permission and check its available file. We do not ask for your social-platform passwords or session cookies.
A public post may still point to a web page instead of a direct video file. The service also checks the source host, file type and size. Public visibility alone does not establish download permission. See the platform guides for supported alternatives and source-specific help.
Save it now. Watch it anytime.
Back to downloaderA saved video should be easy to find, clear enough to watch and small enough for your device. Here is how to choose a permitted source, compare the available files and keep a useful offline copy with InstaxVideo.
Start with what you want to do with the video. A creator keeping a backup needs the original export. Someone reviewing a permitted lesson on a phone may prefer a smaller viewing copy. A presentation for a larger screen may benefit from an available higher-resolution version. The most useful download is the one that fits that purpose.
InstaxVideo checks media from approved direct HTTPS sources and prepares the formats the source can support. You do not need an InstaxVideo account. You do need to own the content or have permission to download it. Public visibility by itself does not establish that permission, and private, login-only or DRM-protected media is unsupported.
Keep your master file if you expect to edit again. A smaller MP4 can be convenient for watching, but it should not replace the original in your project archive.
A share link usually opens a page with a player, captions and other controls. A direct media link points to the file itself. Copying a page address does not turn it into a downloadable MP4, even when the video plays publicly in your browser.
If a creator gives you a permitted file link, use that address without shortening it or changing its extension. Adding .mp4 to a page URL does not create a video file. The source must also be approved by this service and provide a compatible, accessible file; not every direct URL will be accepted.
You can try the original InstaxVideo sample on this homepage first. Its button adds the sample link to the form. Confirm permission and submit it to see real prepared files and sizes before trying another permitted source.
The source of a video changes the options available to you. Social-platform downloads are currently unavailable in InstaxVideo. The guides below explain each source and the official options for media you control, so you can choose a suitable next step.
For a Reel you made, start by looking for the original on your phone or in your editing project. Our guide explains Reels, post links and account export options, including why an Instagram page URL may be unsupported.
A Page upload, shared post and group video can involve different access conditions. Check who controls the original and whether the copy can be saved. The Facebook guide covers these differences and options for your own uploads.
Keeping your own upload and using an in-app offline feature are different tasks. The YouTube guide explains creator download options, watch and Shorts links, and the difference between an offline viewing feature and a separate local file.
For another source, open the TikTok guide, Twitter / X guide or Pinterest guide. Each page has its own guidance and original sample video.
Resolution describes picture dimensions; it does not tell you the whole file size. Duration, motion, encoding and audio also affect the number of bytes. Two 720p videos can have very different sizes, and a filename containing “HD” is not a reliable measure of quality.
InstaxVideo does not upscale a smaller source. Choices appear after preparation, and each ready file shows its measured size. Use Quality & file size to compare those results, then select Download selected file. The example table above illustrates the interface; your submitted link determines the actual choices.
Preparation and download are separate stages. First, the service checks the source and creates supported versions. After you select a file, the transfer sends that file to your device. Keep the page open until the transfer finishes and leave enough free storage for the copy you selected.
Your browser controls where the file is saved. It normally uses Downloads, or asks you to choose a folder if that setting is enabled. On a phone, check the browser’s download list and your file manager’s Downloads location.
The separate InstaxVideo Android app saves new files to the phone’s public Downloads folder. Its current download flow saves the original file. Open or share a completed item from the app’s Downloads screen.
After saving, open the file to check that it plays. Give useful copies a descriptive name with the project, date or quality, and keep originals separate from smaller viewing versions. See the video download guide for more help with formats and save locations.
If a problem continues, contact InstaxVideo with the error message and the type of source you are using. Avoid sending private access links or account credentials.
