Links and media
When you check a URL, it is sent to the InstaxVideo server to validate the source and retrieve media metadata. For website quality preparation, the server temporarily stores the submitted source URL, processing status, original media and generated video, audio or thumbnail files in a private cache. Job links expire after one hour; the running worker removes expired jobs when processing or active file reads have finished. If the worker is interrupted, cleanup resumes when it restarts. This is temporary processing storage, not a permanent personal cloud library. The current Android original-file flow streams approved media to your device without this quality-preparation job.
Website quality links contain signed, short-lived job or file tokens. Original-file download tokens used by the current app include the source URL. Treat this token as private until it expires. The source server receives requests from our service when we check or retrieve your media.
Essential server records
Rate limits use a hashed form of your IP address in temporary server files. Standard web server and infrastructure logs may record IP addresses, request times, paths, status codes and technical errors. Deployment instructions disable query strings in access logs to keep download tokens out of them. Logs are retained according to the hosting operator’s configured retention.
Your device
The Android app uses the Android system download service. New completed files are saved in your phone’s public Downloads folder and are accessible to file managers and compatible apps. The app keeps transfer identifiers, file information, settings and download history locally so it can restore status after reopening. Files from older app versions may remain in app-private storage until you export them. Clearing history does not delete files; file deletion requires confirmation. Sharing a file sends it to the destination you choose; that destination’s privacy policy applies.
Visitor statistics and administrator cookies
When local visitor counting is enabled, the website records page views, the referring website’s hostname and a broad device category. A daily keyed hash of the request’s IP address and browser information provides an approximate daily visitor count. These counters do not store your raw IP address, complete referring URLs or submitted download links. A new daily hash prevents this counter from identifying the same visitor across different days. Visitor hashes are retained for the current and previous UTC day; daily aggregate statistics are retained for up to 400 days. Known bots and visits carrying an administrator session cookie are excluded. Do Not Track and Global Privacy Control signals disable the local counter. Administrators can switch counting off in site settings.
The admin panel uses an essential session cookie to authenticate its administrator. Public visitors do not need an account or a tracking cookie for the local counter. The website continues to serve fonts from this domain.
Optional Google integrations
The site owner can separately enable Google Analytics or Google Tag Manager. These integrations are off unless configured and enabled. When active, they can send usage information to Google and, depending on the owner’s container configuration, other tag providers, and may use cookies or similar technology. Search Console verification identifies site ownership and does not itself count your downloads. Contact the site owner for questions about currently enabled integrations and your applicable privacy choices.
Your choices
Do not paste URLs containing personal information or access credentials. You can use the site without an account. Use Cancel to stop waiting or transferring in the browser. Closing the page stops a browser transfer too. A preparation job already queued on the server can finish after you close or cancel; its temporary files remain subject to the expiry and cleanup described above. Cancel an Android transfer from the app or Android download controls. Clipboard access happens only after you tap a paste/download action. Android system downloads can continue while the app is in the background. Clear history separately from deleting saved files.
