Privacy, in plain words.
Last updated: 9 September 2026. This page describes the data handled by the current InstaxVideo website and mobile app.
Links and media
When you check a URL, it is sent to the InstaxVideo server to validate the source and retrieve media metadata. Approved media is streamed to your device. We do not maintain a server-side library of your pasted links or downloaded videos.
Download links contain a signed, short-lived token that includes the source URL. Treat this token as private until it expires. The source server receives requests from our service when we check or retrieve your media.
Essential server records
Rate limits use a hashed form of your IP address in temporary server files. Standard web server and infrastructure logs may record IP addresses, request times, paths, status codes and technical errors. Deployment instructions disable query strings in access logs to keep download tokens out of them. Logs are retained according to the hosting operator’s configured retention.
Your device
The mobile app stores downloaded files, settings and download history locally on your device. You can delete entries and files from the app. Sharing a file through another app sends it to the destination you choose; that destination’s privacy policy applies.
Cookies, analytics and fonts
This project does not include advertising trackers, analytics scripts, account cookies or marketing cookies. The website loads fonts from Google Fonts, which receives your IP address and normal request metadata. The site can use fallback system fonts if that service is unavailable.
Your choices
Do not paste URLs containing personal information or access credentials. You can use the site without an account. Close the page to stop using the service, cancel an active download, or delete saved files and their history entries from Downloads.
